Film VS Digital

Film photography is a slower, more intentional process. Unlike digital, it's not rapid shooting. Each frame is carefully considered, with only 36 exposures per roll, making every photo meaningful and deliberate. Film has a timeless, nostalgic feel with natural grain and rich, vibrant color tones. It can still capture motion, blur, and candid moments beautifully, but it is less ideal in low light situations where more control is needed. It's not the most ideal for sunrise or sunsets.

Digital photography is more flexible and fast paced, making it ideal for capturing moments as they unfold. It performs especially well in low light, indoor settings, and during sunrise or sunset when lighting can shift quickly. While digital allows for more immediate results, I edit all images to carry a film inspired look with vibrant tones, emotion, and a nostalgic feel. It also works beautifully with motion, blur, and candid moments, making it perfect for dynamic, unposed storytelling.

Compare

The film images are shown on the left and the digital images are shown on the right.

This is a simple side by side comparison of film and digital images taken right after the other. Here you can see the difference in tone, color rendering, and vibrance between both styles. Lighting and color may vary due to natural changes in setting and time. Both are beautiful options but this is here to help you get a better feel for what best fits your vision.
